Happy Writer Wednesday!
Today I’m bringing you a first-time guest, sweetheart of an author, good friend, and fellow-Southerner, Amy Anguish! I’m so excited that she’s bringing us the main character from her new book, releasing NEXT WEEK, Saving Grace.
I love interviewing characters, and “Michelle Wilson” seems like a person I’d love to hang out with!
A Character Interview with “Michelle,” from Saving Grace
Welcome, “Michelle!” I’m so happy to have you here for Writer Wednesday!
Let’s just start out with a hard one – and one to which my readers want the answer!!
Are you looking for romance?
Eventually, yes, but right now? No way. I’m much too busy to be adding something like that to my life. I just got my dream job, after all. And I’m starting up a photography business on the side. Although, when I see the way grooms look at their brides, it does make me think I’d like someone to look at me that way one day.
Sounds like you have your hands full, but it sounds like you’re thinking about it a little bit? So, if you were to pick, do you prefer blondes, brunettes, or redheads?
I don’t know if I’ve ever thought about it. I mean, I’m a brunette, but I’ve never really considered one hair color prettier than another. I figure as long as they have some, who cares?
Good answer! LOL!! I’m with you. Hair is hair, and there really isn’t a BAD hair color!
Now for some easy ones . . .What’s your favorite vacation spot in the U.S.?
I live in Arkansas, and let me tell you, there are tons of beautiful spots in this state. Growing up, my family would go camping and explore places like Heber Springs or the Ozarks or Petit Jean Mountain. Who needs to leave the state when treasures like these are here?
I totally get that. Kentucky is like that, too. So many different places and KINDS of places to enjoy! You’re making me want to go to Arkansas!
Here’s a question that’s easy-peasy . . . What makes you giggle or laugh out loud?
My best friend Greg. No matter what kind of mood I’m in, he can always bring a smile to my face, and usually, a full-out belly laugh with snorting and tears. Nothing else in the world can make me laugh like he can.
Hmmm . . . interesting. Aren’t guy friends just the best? I wonder . . .
Fun question — What is a food that you simply refuse to eat?
Chicken strips if there’s no gravy to dip them in. Greg and I both have a standing order at the diner for chicken strips and gravy, extra gravy. Without that peppery goodness, what’s the point?
Sounds like you and Greg spend a lot of time together . . .
While we’re on food, pie or cake?
Can we include pizza in the pie category? Because I’ll always go for pizza pie! As to the dessert kind of pies and cakes, I’ll take whatever is in front of me. Especially if it’s made by Greg’s mom. She makes the best desserts.
Oh, we can definitely include pizza, and like you, I’ll take whatever is offered, if it’s sweet! I am no respecter of desserts. 😉
Thanks, “Michelle!” I’m looking forward to reading your story. And, I’m anxious to meet this “Greg” you keep talking about!
About Saving Grace
What if saving grace doesn’t mean what she thinks it does?
Michelle Wilson’s one goal in life was to become a top journalist at the local paperback in her hometown of Cedar Springs, AR. But on the way to bringing that dream to reality, a life-changing wreck interrupts Michelle’s plans and adds an orphaned baby into the mix. Now, she has tough decisions ahead—did God put her in that accident to save baby Grace? And if so, why is it so hard to convince everyone else she should be the baby’s new mommy?
Greg Marshall has been Michelle’s best friend his whole life. He’s thrilled she’s moving back home, but not so sure about her sudden desire to be a single mom. His feelings for her have grown through the years, but she’s never seemed to notice. Can he help Michelle with the adoption and grow their relationship at the same time?
You can pre-order Saving Grace on Amazon HERE, and the release date is October 6 – my dad’s birthday!
