Did you think I had disappeared? Lost in the shuffle of gift-wrap and tissue paper, meal preparation, guests, weddings, children moving, and de-decorating?
Maybe I did, for a few days anyway.
Christmas came and went, my best friend’s daughter’s wedding came and went, wedding venue was viewed for my daughter’s wedding, and I checked my email MAYBE once a day, mainly to delete advertisements and other junk email. I caught up on Friday between washing sheets from the guest room, scheduling Monday’s blog interview, and reading Carolina Grace aloud for the last time before publication. (Did I mention that the ebook is on PRE-ORDER, and that the paperback will be on PRE-ORDER soon?!)
I’ve been seeing where people pick a “word of the year.” No, I haven’t been living under a rock. I know it’s been a thing for a while. I guess last year my word would have been “productivity,” because I rushed around all year trying to justify this thing called “self-employed author.”
This year, my word is PEACE. I have a daughter getting married. My other daughter is finding her way toward a career. My husband is retired, but working. Stuff happens.
So I’m looking for PEACE.
I’m currently reading Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado. I would highly recommend it, if you haven’t read it already. He takes Phillipians 4:4-8 and writes an entire book about how God is the cure for anxiety. And it’s true. We strive for perfection, for what we think we need, when all we need is Jesus.
So, PEACE.
I pray for you, that you would know that PEACE that passes all understanding in 2019!
In His Love,
