I’m in that in-between stage of writing.
Carolina Dream was a dream-come-true for me. Carolina Mercy just came out. Carolina Grace is finished and in edits.
Honestly, I loved Carolina Mercy so much that I would love to just camp there.
It’s funny – when I’m selling Carolina Mercy and someone asks me a question about it, I have to hit my mental backspace to get my head out of the one I’m currently working on.
Back when I was a “civilian,” I thought it was strange when an author had to stop and think before answering a question about their current release. I know, now, that you can’t focus on one book at a time; sometimes you have to focus on THREE!
And that’s where I am right now. In-between. Yesterday, I plotted a new story!
For a writer, there is nothing quite as exciting as a new story. I have loved, loved, LOVED my Southern Breeze Series and spending so much (mental) time in South Carolina, but yesterday I worked on the outline for a new book, and possibly a new series!
This time the setting will be Kentucky, my home. I haven’t decided on the exact placement yet, but geography will be important to the plot.
It will also marry my love of contemporary romance to my love of HGTV. That’s as much as I can say.
You’ll be getting more information as I go along, but in the meantime, if you haven’t read Carolina Dream, get a copy! Carolina Mercy is still new, and Carolina Grace will come out in February 2019!! You can find all my books by searching on Amazon, or HERE!

The new book, not Carolina Grace, but the one your mulling right now is very good. I enjoyed it so much. It’s nice to get sneak peeks along the way. I loved the characters and the way they “worked” together. I’ll leave it there.

Thanks, Kathy! I’m still in brainstorm-mode!

It’s always hard for me to let go of my characters once the book is finished. I form an attachment to them. They become real to me. So, I do understand.
